SFL (Suburban Futsal League) Launches Winter 2024-25

This winter season (2024-25), our U7-U11 Skill Centre players will participate in our internal SFL (Suburban Futsal League) as part of the program curriculum. Futsal is a valuable development tool, allowing players to have more touches on the ball, navigate smaller spaces, and place a greater emphasis on technical skills essential for the game.

The primary differences between futsal and traditional soccer include:

  • Surface: Futsal is played on a hard floor, while traditional soccer is played on turf or grass.

  • Ball Size & Weight: The futsal ball is smaller and heavier compared to a standard soccer ball.

  • Playing Format: Futsal is played in a 5v5 format, differing from the larger team setups in traditional soccer matches.

This structure encourages players to develop their fundamental technical skills & movements in a dynamic and engaging environment.
