What the Skill Centre Program?

The Skill Centre Program is designed to meet the needs of players who desire a more challenging and competitive playing environment.

Our main goal for the skill centre program is to help each player reach their maximum potential in a challenging, yet fun environment.

Program Details

This program is offered for the duration of 18 weeks.

Option 1: 1x Weekly + League (Starting in June)

  • Players in this option will train once weekly and have scheduled league games starting in June. Training will focus on skill development, ball retention and technical activities. Starting in June, games will be held on Saturdays for U8/9 and on Sundays for U10/11. There will be no games held on long weekends.

  • One practice session & one game a week

Option 2: 2x Weekly + League (Starting in June)

  • Players in this option will train twice weekly and have scheduled league games starting in June. Training will focus on skill development, ball retention and technical activities. Players in this option will also have weekly champions league training which will focus more on competing in a fun yet competitive environment. Starting in June, league games will be held on Saturdays for U8/9 and on Sundays for U10/11. There will be no games held on long weekends.

  • Two practice sessions & one game a week

**Please note: There will be no sessions held on holidays**

  • Option 1: $405

  • Option 2: $485

Skill Centre - For players U10/11 ( Born in 2014 / 2013 )

  • Option 1: $425

  • Option 2: $505

What Do The Fees Include?

  • Facility costs

  • Coaches - Lead and assistants

  • Registration with governing bodies (Soccer Nova Scotia & Canada Soccer)

  • Training Equipment

  • Administrative (operations, registration system, processing fees, etc.)

  • League Fees (games, facilities, administration, etc.)

Schedule Details

Registration Closes: April 24th, 2024

Start Date: Saturday May 4th

Tentative End Date: August 31st, 2024

Sessions will run for 18 weeks *Subject to change due to weather conditions*

Locations: TBC - Fields in Sackville/Bedford

  • U7/8/9 Girls:

    Option 1&2: Saturdays 9:00-10:30am @ Weir Field

    Option 2: Sundays 1:30-3:00pm @ Weir Field

  • U7/8 Boys:

    Option 1&2: Saturdays 10:30am-12:00pm @ Weir Field

    Option 2: Sundays 1:30-3:00pm @ Weir Field

  • U9 Boys:

    Option 1&2: Saturdays 12:00-1:30pm @ Weir Field

    Option 2: Sundays 1:30-3:00pm @ Weir Field

  • U10/11 Girls:

    Option 1&2: Saturdays 1:30-3:00pm @ Weir Field

    Option 2: Sundays 3:00-4:30pm @ Weir Field

  • U10 Boys:

    Option 1&2: Saturdays 3:00-4:30pm @ Weir Field

    Option 2: Sundays 3:00-4:30pm @ Weir Field

  • U11 Boys:

  • Option 1&2: Saturdays 4:30-6:00pm @ Weir Field

  • Option 2: Sundays 3:00-4:30pm @ Weir Field

June/July/August Schedule All locations to be determined (fields within Bedford/Sackville)

Option 1 & 2:

U7/8 Boys & Girls - Mondays @ 5:30pm

U9 Boys & Girls - Mondays @ 6:45pm

U10 Boys & Girls - Tuesdays @ 5:30pm

U11 Boys & Girls - Tuesdays @ 6:45pm

Option 2 ONLY:

U7/8/9 Boys & Girls - Thursdays @ 5:45pm

U10/11 Boys & Girls - Thursdays @ 7:00pm

Games:

U7/8/9 Boys & Girls - Saturdays @ TBD

U10/11 Boys & Girls - Sundays @ TBD

Uniform Requirements:

  • U8 and U9 Skill Centre players - Training Kit Only

  • U10 and U11 Skill Centre players - Training Kit + Home Game Kit*

    *please note for U10/11 players requiring the game kit, if you are new to the club, you need to be assigned a number. Please email graham.ashworth@suburbanfc.ca to request your number allocation

Need to Know

Schedules are subject to change based on facility availability. If location or time changes, communication will be sent out via TeamSnap.

Parent and Player Requirements

Players and parents must abide by the Policies and Procedures of the Suburban FC.

What happens if there is bad weather and field closures? 

** Unfortunately due to time constraints, there will be no make-up sessions or pro-rated refunds due to poor weather / field closure. Field closures and extreme weather conditions are beyond our control. We will always strive to ensure that programming is offered when we have access to fields and it does not jeopardize the safety of our players. Any cancellations will be clearly communicated via TeamSnap.  **
