First Touches is Suburban FC’s introductory program for our youngest players. Built for children ages 18 months to 3 years, the program introduces the soccer ball through play, movement, and exploration.
Sessions focus on physical literacy, coordination, and basic movement skills in a fun, low-pressure environment. Activities blend simple ball interaction with games that encourage confidence, curiosity, and social connection.
This is a parent-tot program. A parent or caregiver stays on the field and participates alongside their child, with sessions led by Suburban FC’s trained coaches. The goal is simple: get kids moving, smiling, and comfortable with the ball while building a positive first experience in sport

There will be two blocks of 6 weeks for the summer 2026 season (for a total of 12 weeks of programming offered).

We will provide First Touches t-shirts for all our participants!
T-shirts will be available for pick-up at the field the first session of the season
Please note players who sign up for both blocks only get 1x t-shirt! (i.e. they won’t get a new one each block)
Players must wear shin pads and soccer cleats or sneakers
Opportunities for financial support are primarily available through KidSport .
Suburban FC is a non-profit soccer club and we strive to balance low program fees (as low as possible) with superior coaching and training opportunities.
