Extra Training & Program Enhancements

 

   

 

New to 2020 - Suburban FC is now offering extra training, pre-season camps, and a strength and conditioning program for select players.

These new offerings are highly recommended for aspiring young players looking to gain skill, confidence and athleticism to their game. They will be delivered by club staff and are designed to give players the added support necessary to improve. 

NOTE: These are optional and are not required. 

Program Title: U8-U11 Suburban Junior Lions Technical Training Program
Birth Years: 2013 - 2008
Program Fee: $150
Program Description:

1 x weekly skills training with Suburban FC staff coaches for U8-U11 skill centre players and U12B/C. 

Players are required to be registered in the Skill Centre or Community program in order to be eligible for this program.

 

Program Title:

U12-15 Suburban Lions Technical Training 
Birth Years:  2008 - 2005
Program Fee:  $150
Program Description:

1 x weekly skills training with Suburban FC staff coaches for U12A-U15 players.

Players are required to be registered in a Performance or Community program in order to be eligible for this program. 

 
Program Title: U12-U18 A and AA Pre-Season 
Birth Years: 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008
Program Fee: $25
Program Description:

Pre-season training for players looking for training in before the season begins. Players should expect to receive 6-8 sessions throughout the month of April.

 
Program Title: U12-U18 Strength and Conditioning Training
Birth Years: 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008
Program Fee:  $150
Program Description:

The program will include multiple elements of strength and conditioning as well as some tasks around creating positive habits regarding nutrition and mental health.

A thorough athletic and movement assessment will be the first step as data is key. Our strength and condition staff with help indentify common injuries and create plans for personal improvement while minimizing risk.

Expect a program that will have components of sport specific conditioning, mobility and flexibility, dynamic movements, stretching routines, core movement mechanics, joint and core stability, and stretching and recovery work.
