COVID-19 Protocol

As we get back on the field after our Christmas shut down, the health and safety of our members and our families is paramount.  We will always do what we can to look after each other, it’s the Suburban Way!  At all Club related activities, the Club staff and coaches will do their utmost best to ensure the safety of our players, but the initial responsibility starts at home with you, our members.

With the current provincial instructions, SFC relies on our members to do the right thing including following all relevant NS Government Health guidelines, noting that the overriding advice is to “stay home if you feel unwell”.

Beyond that and specifically related to the spread of COVID, a player presenting with either of the symptoms:

  • Fever (i.e. chills/sweats) OR Cough (new or worsening) should not attend any club event.

A player presenting with two or more of the following symptoms (new or worsening) should not attend any club event.

  • Sore throat

  • Runny nose/nasal congestion

  • Headache

  • Shortness of breath

Visit do a self-assessment if, in the past 48 hours you have had or you are currently experiencing any of the above symptoms.

In the event a player fails the health check in Team Snap, he/she will not be admitted to the session in question.  They are to contact the relevant member of the Club staff to relay the failure notification. To be admitted to a future event, a negative COVID Test result will need to be provided, or a notification provided to the club in writing from a parent/guardian (email) that the symptoms in question did not merit a COVID check.

In addition – any player arriving for an SFC event who has not completed his/her availability in Team Snap nor completed a Health Check will not be admitted to the session in question.

We ask that all our membership check the following link daily and follow the guidelines as laid out for each location.

Using this link, anyone who has been at any possible exposure location during the times listed must not participate in any in person SFC activities up to and including the date recommended on that location's Public Health notice.  This is to be the case whether or not you are symptomatic and includes all current and all future NS Public Health Possible Exposures as they are updated.

Please provide proof of a NEGATIVE COVID-19 test following possible exposure at one of these sites prior to returning to Club activities.
